I use the Approve Users Mod. It has a few bugs but it stops spammers before they even hit the site.
If everything goes well, we will be updating this community to Sharetronix Open Source version 3.0 on Monday (Sept 3rd). Make sure to come back then again and test

thanks alot for new version, there was two optionin Ver2.2 as spam_protection and an option to delete old posts from database (in site/admin/system). will this 2 option be back as plugins in Ver3 ?
looks like we have less spammers with the spam control on. thanks @Ivailo Enev
